The chemical industry is a hub of innovation and collaboration. Ethox Chemicals, a leading provider of specialty chemicals, is at the forefront of this exciting industry. As an organization committed to staying ahead of the curve, Ethox Chemicals actively participates in various conferences throughout the year. There are three remaining conferences in 2023 that Ethox Chemicals will be attending: Specialty & Agro Chemicals America in Savanah, GA, Sunscreen Symposium in Lake Buena Vista, FL, and the California Society of Cosmetic Chemists Suppliers’ Day in Long Beach, CA.

Specialty & Agro Chemicals America
June 20-22, 2023
Savannah, GA

Specialty & Agro Chemicals America is focused on showcasing the distinctive value of the American chemical industry – specifically, the chemical products and technologies that support the agrochemical and specialty chemical manufacturing markets. The chemical industry is seeing a growing number of projects return to domestic suppliers. This trend is strengthened by the advance of new applications that involve higher-end technology and the higher-value end of the chemical market. Ethox Chemicals is uniquely positioned to support this growing trend and recognizes the immense value of participating in this conference to connect with like-minded individuals, share knowledge, and promote its innovative solutions.

At the Specialty & Agro Chemicals America conference, Ethox Chemicals will be available at Booth #27 to discuss the company’s latest developments in specialty chemicals, process technologies, distinctive capabilities, and chemical manufacturing trends. Ethox will also be giving a company showcase presentation on Tuesday, June 20th at 9:40 a.m. in the Western Grand Ballroom, A. Brad Swillen, Business Director, will share the Ethox story – how the company started, its growth, and business focus including technologies and core values.

Sunscreen Symposium
September 13-15, 2023
Lake Buena Vista, FL

As a leading provider of ingredients for personal care products, Ethox Chemicals will be attending the Sunscreen Symposium. Historically, this event draws hundreds of cosmetic industry professionals from around the world, highlights the latest scientific developments in the industry, provides a forum to discuss updates in global regulations, and offers industry professionals an opportunity to learn more about the latest developments in sun care through technical presentations, exhibits, and posters.

Ethox Chemicals will be presenting a poster at the Sunscreen Symposium showcasing a novel sunscreen delivery system which is a structured, sulfate-free, surfactant system. There is an ongoing need for protection from the sun to help prevent premature aging of the skin and skin cancer. There is also a desire to have sunscreen formulations that do not cause harm to sensitive ecosystems such as live coral reefs. Due to the concerns about reef safety and toxicology surrounding oxybenzone and octinoxate, the industry is challenged to get more UV protection using fewer sunscreen actives. Dr. Edward Borish, Personal Care Technical Director at Ethox, has discovered a delivery system that reduces the number of additives needed while allowing for the incorporation of high levels of oil and high levels of solids, providing improved deposition of oils onto the skin, delivering improved high-temperature stability, and is easy to dispense and apply.

Ethox Chemicals has the expertise to answer the challenges and address the critical issues surrounding the sun care industry. Attending the Sunscreen Symposium allows Ethox the opportunity to share its innovative technology and stay current on safety, efficacy, regulatory and sustainability efforts in the industry.
