ACC specializes in developing customized surfactant packages and metalworking fluid additives. Product Highlight
The pH of a metalworking fluid is an indicator of the fluid’s health. For this reason, ACC approached us with the task of creating an additive to be used as a source for alkalinity and increasing the life of a metalworking fluid.
The metalworking additive, ACC CE-20, is a tertiary amine used in metalworking, rust preventative, and cleaning formulations.
The role of a metalworking fluid is to reduce the heat and friction during use. The components in the fluid itself can extend the life of the tool, add rust protection, prevent bacterial growth, and extend the fluid’s life.
ACC CE-20 offers the following benefits:
- It is a good Bio-potentiator, thus increasing and extending fluid sump life
- Significantly reduces cobalt and copper leaching
- Reduces aluminum staining more than most common amines
- Offers good buffering capacity
- Provides emulsification
- Dispersible in oil and water
